We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our Engineering team, Ben Widmer! Ben serves as our Product Manager for the Blue Ion 2.0 and will work directly with Kyle Bolger to continue development of the highest quality energy storage products available.
Ben will not only be contributing his technical expertise to our team but to Blue Planet Energy’s core mission. "What drives me, personally," Ben comments, "is the opportunity to collaborate with capable, like minded teams to achieve success in developing solutions for energy security."
Ben's Track Record in Renewable Energy Will Help Boost Blue Planet Energy’s Commitment to Clean Energy
Ben brings extensive experience in electronics manufacturing. He worked at an audio manufacturing company where he drove improvements in productivity and quality through his various roles as assembly technician, product/production management and vendor and supply chain management. Ben made the move to advanced energy storage manufacturing in 2009 and applied his diligence and dedication to solutions using the Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LiFePO4O) chemistry. During his time in the storage industry, he has managed technical training and sales, contributed to product development and rapid prototyping, and collaborated with contractor, engineer and end user stakeholders.
Ben is originally from Dallas, Texas, but now calls Honolulu, Hawaii, his home. "I appreciate nature and I have a fascination with advances in technology and civilization." Ben further commented, "I believe that if we take care of each other, manage our resources and strive to improve, then we are living a good life."
